🌸 In Loving Memory of Lilás
The cat who melted hearts (even the ones that said “no pets allowed”)
Today, we say goodbye to Lilás, our soft-pawed queen with the fierce little heart. She wasn’t just any cat—she was Rafaela’s rescued warrior, found years ago with a battered little face and big ol’ ticks hanging off her neck. Life hadn’t been kind to her… until Rafaela stepped in.
For over 15 years, Lilás ruled the household with grace, sass, and a whole lot of love. She shared her kingdom with Peach (her fellow feline) and spent many winter nights in Rio cuddled up to Marley, our blind doggo (also now playing on the other side of the rainbow). He was her heating pad, her buddy, and her quiet nighttime companion.
Lilás wasn’t just sweet—she had magical powers. Somehow, she even made Grandma Esmeralda, who always said she didn’t like “those animals,” fall completely in love. That’s talent.
She was gentle, affectionate, and carried a wise, quiet energy that comforted everyone around her. She loved sunbeams, warm blankets, quiet corners, and soft company. She was the kind of cat who didn’t need to speak to be heard—and when she looked at you, you felt seen.
Now, she rests. But her purr still echoes in the memories we carry, her spirit still curls up in our hearts, and her legacy—of resilience, softness, and healing—lives on in every paw we hold a little tighter.
Run free, sweet Lilás. Thank you for choosing us.
